Flash! A burst of fire came from the lifless body of Shironekosama. The flames grew higher as a holy light grew in the depths of the fire. Shiro's body began to float off the ground. The fire grew brighter as the corpse rose in the air. The flames moved around Shiro's body and looked like feathers of a great bird. Suddenly, A flash of light encompassed the floating hanyou. When The light subsided, Shiro was floating upright. His head was hanging down like he was looking at the ground. His body floated there, gently spinning in place. He floated to the ground and slowly woke up. He stood there, dumb-founded about where he was. He looked around and realized he wasn't in the place he last remembered. Torches lit the large hall that Shiro was now standing in. His vission refocused and he began to make out the figure in front of him.
"Hey! Are you ok, Shiro?" The figure began to move towards Shiro.
"Ugggghhh....My head hurts." Shiro replied to the blob of color that was now moving towards him. He tried to take a step foreward but, to no avail, he fell right to the ground.
"Your legs are weak still. You should take it easy."
Vision returned to Shiro as he looked up from his new resting spot on the cold floor.
"Yari!??...Izat you?.." Shiro was even more confused than when he first awoke. How did he get here? Why am I here? All these questions went through his head as he sat there on the floor.
"Yeah, Shiro it's me, Yari." Yari bent down and helped Shiro off the ground. "I went looking for you when you didn't return to the village." Yari guided hid friend to a chair that he could ait on.
Shiro looked to Yari with a confused look on his face. "what....ow...what happened?"
Yari looked away from the confused hanyou and hesitated to say anything."Well, Shiro...It;s like this..." Yari lowered his head and began to talk. "You were dead, Shiro" His voice was grave and mournful. "You were missing for over a year. Everyone was looking for you but..."
"Everyone gave up, didn't they?.." Shiro's voice had a sharpness that pierced Yari's ears.
"No, no ...well...I didn't..." Yari looked to Shiro. Yari had a stern look on his face but it couldn't hide his emotion. "I looked everywhere for you, Onichan. I just knew you weren't dead so i continued searching."
"But you said I was dead...How am I here then? What about my family? Or the village? They did give up, didn't they..." Shiro looked down at his hands. His claws were dirty and dull. Several cuts were strewn across his hands. "It was...beacause I'm different, becauase I'm hanyou, isn't it? They didn't want to find me." Shiro looked up with a smirk on his face. "I always knew I wasn't wanted."
"I'm sorry, Shiro. I tried to...but everyone just didn't want to help me. When I found you about a month ago, you were lying dead in a feild. No wounds or marks. That is except for the mark on you chest."
Shiro looked down at his chest to see a tatoo-like mark in the shape of a human fist. It was a redish purple color and it hurt to touch.
"But...how am I alive then?......" |
